Tips to make adjustments to your touch pad in Windows 7


All the laptops in the present era come with a touch pad incorporated on it. Invention of the touch pad was an innovative step to replacing the traditional mouse wheels for scrolling through the pages that pops up when called upon to select various options. Touch pads are similar to the mouse in its functions, but it's different in its appearance. Just like the regular mouse that has been used in Windows enabled machines, settings in these touch pads can be re-configured according to the requirement of the user. It’s easier if you are a user that has a Windows 7 installed machine in your hands as it’s much easier to configure the touch pads in Windows 7. Turn on your Windows 7 laptop and hit the “Start” button that comes with a Windows symbol printed on the your keyboard.
Once you press the “Start” button a menu will be unleashed with many tabs among which you should opt out the tab with the label “Control Panel”.
The control panel is the window that holds the icons to the entire settings in your Windows 7 laptop. Hunt around the window for a tab with the label “mouse” entitled to it.
Once you have entered the mouse window look around for a tab with the label "Buttons" and open it by pressing the enter key on your keyboard
This time you will be redirected into a window in which you will have to open up the tab lies adjacent to the tab with the label "Devices".
Once you go for the devices option you will be invited by the Windows 7 to another screen in which you will have the option to select the name of your laptop touch pad.
Now modify the settings assigned to the touch pad by clicking on the "Right-handed" or "Left-handed" tans placed around your current window.
Set the double clicking speed by hitting on the "Double Click Speed".
Now go to the "Device Settings" tab and press on the "Disable" tab to disable the touch pad. Hit on the “Settings" tab for more advanced settings.
Now press on the "Apply" button to save and load the new settings as per recommended by Windows 7 help and support center.
