Guidelines to fix your Windows Firewall


Microsoft designed Windows Firewall to enhance the security features enabled in various operating systems. Firewall will freeze up unauthorized activities from strangers and infected malwares, when they try to login to your computer through internet or other networks. During certain issues Windows Firewall may not function, this could happen as a result of installing new programs with different settings. This could also crop up as a result of errors that could occur in the systems registry files as a result of malicious attack. These issues can be fixed by re-installing Windows Firewall on your computer. Instructions
First of all kick start the process by clicking on the “Start” button placed on the bottom left corner of your desktop.
This will prompt a menu to pop up which will have the “Run” tab. Click on it and type in “cmd” and follow this by pressing the “Enter” button on your keyboard.
Now the command prompt window will appear in which you have to type in “Rundll32 setupapi, InstallHinfSection Ndi-Steelhead 132 %windir%\inf\netrass.inf". Follow the text by hitting on the “Enter” key on your keyboard.  This will provoke the Windows installer to re-install the Windows Firewall on your computer. When the whole process is done the command prompt will close down automatically.
Now you should “Restart” your computer and hang around until the Windows load up again. When it’s done go to “Start” button again followed by “Run” and once you are in run menu type In “cmd” to launch the command prompt program again.
This time when the command prompt window appears type in “Netsh firewall reset” followed by hitting the “Enter” key on your keyboard. This will prompt the Windows to reset the firewall and when it’s done, command prompt will close down automatically.
Now go to the “Start” button again and type in “firewall.cpl” in the “Run” menu. After typing in press the “Enter” key.
Click on the “On” tab and hit on the “OK” button to trigger your Windows Firewall.
